1925 Model T Ford used by FE Gold mining Company in the 1920's and 30's. After the truck served it's purpose in gold mining, it was left, abandoned. Owner George Clayton (our Dad & Grampa) found the truck in 1943. He worked out a few 'bugs' and has driven the old truck ever since. It can be seen in the local area quite often and, in fact, often stays right here at North Pole Cabins. | |||

| 1945 Gull Wing Stinson Reliant V77. Our parents used this plane to fly from Fairbanks to Long Island, New York in 1949. This was a true test of nerves and pilotage if you can imagine the lack of radio assistance back then and the desolation between points. | ![]() |

COMMENTS Great Alaskan hospitality We had a comfortable and cozy sleep last night
and really appreciated you flexibility regarding our "Aurora-chasing"!
Thank you for the early morning "Aurora-call" -- spectacular
entertainment provided by nature. I have traveled from the East Coast to the West
Coast and from the South to the North. In those travels I have stayed
in many different lodgings. Yours is definitely my favorite. You can
wrap yourself up in the warmth and coziness of the cabin. Then, to top
it all off, is your kindness and hospitality! Thank you so much! We love this cabin! We are so glad we stayed
here! It was the best night sleep in a long time! Thank you for your
help with the local sights and seeing 'aurora borealis'! The entire
experience was a real treat! We sure did luck out when we found your place.
. . . Thanks for everything, couldn't have asked for more. Your cabins are gorgeous and made us feel like
being at home. Thank you for your hospitality and providing an excellent
refuge from a hectic day. We truly were the guests who wouldn't leave!
Three months and three days! Seriously, thank you so much for everything.
I still am and always will be in awe of how you opened up your home
to our family. Our families couldn't be more different and yet we all
got along and negotiated so that our lengthy stay wasn't a disaster.
Lots of love to you all . . . We had a wonderful time here. The cabin is beautiful
and the entire setting was so relaxing. . . . Sleeping in the loft was
fun. . . . . Thank you for the wonderful sleep!! (smile) Had
a great time here and would do it again. Never expected such nice accommodations. Very nice, clean and quiet for sleeping. Thank
you for your friendly hospitality. Montana, Iowa, Michigan, Florida, North Carolina, California, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington State, Oregon, Texas, Georgia . . . .
